Croatia Luxury Villa Hvar Holiday is located directly on the sea, with swimming pool and a private beach in the bay on the western edge of the town of Hvar, in the private nature park. In the park you can find stags, hinds and muflons. We have a separate automatic doors inside the park for entrance and the road to the bay.

Park is private area not open to the people or tourists. No uninvited guest can get into park, and not to our properties. Luxury Villa Hvar has the maximum privacy.

By car to the city center 2 minutes (4 km), by boat into town center 2 minutes (0.5 mile).

It is possible to organize direct transfer by the speed boat from the Split airport to the Luxury Villa Hvar berth.

1. Sea Level – built a beautiful private waterfront of white Brac stone, measuring 8m x 8m with two bollards for ships.It is possible to anchor the ships up to 25 m. On the side there are stairs to enter the sea for swimming. To the right is a little shallow shoreline for children.

2 Along the waterfront there is a small two-bed apartment Nr.1 (room 4mx2m) and bathroom (2mx 2m) with shower and toilet. Can be used for sleeping or as a magazine for things from the beach.

3 Above the apartment number 1. there is a level one (I) of seating with cushions and a low table. On the side are two wine refrigerator and sink with running water. All equipped with lights to illuminate the level one, waterfront and the sea for a night landing ship.

4. The second (II) level – a stone table with 10 chairs – used for outdoor breakfast, lunch or dinner. On the left side, about 15 meters, there is a room with a toilet, bidet and washing machine.

5. The third (III) level – apartment Nr. 2 and Nr. 3 (double bed, wardrobes,commodes) Each apartment has its own bathroom (toilet, sink, shower). At the same level is a fully equipped kitchen, and separate indoor dining room with a table, chairs, cabinet washer and large fridge. In front of the full length of the house is a covered terrace with outdoor bed for relaxation by the swimming pool.

6. The fourth (IV) level – large terrace (18 mx 6 m, of which 3 meters in width is covered) with external chairs and seating bench for sitting or repose. Next to the balcony is a terrace with a table for 20 people and a large outdoor fireplace for roasting meat or fish. 7 Fifth (V) level – low loft double bed apartment with bathroom – used for service people taking care of house and the guests.

8 All over the Luxury Villa Hvar field planted trees are pines and palm trees for shade, planted beautiful flowers plus flowers in pots to make it perfect luxury accommodation.

About Hvar

Climate

History

The name Hvar derives from the Greek name for the island and town, that was located where today’s Stari Grad (Hvar became the island’s center in 13th century in its place) is located – PHAROS. Hvar gained its glory and power during the Middle Ages as an important port within the Venetian Empire. Thanks to its position on an ancient sea route, history has left many traces on Hvar, more than on any other Adriatic island. Constant battles for the island only confirm its importance and the value of its territory.

The history of the island goes back to prehistoric times, proving the existence of life on the island even 6000 years ago. After the fall of Syracuse in the middle of the 4th century BC, Pharos remained unprotected and was taken over by the Illyrians. In 219 BC, the Romans conquered Pharos and renamed it Pharia. During Roman times, numerous villae rusticae were built all over the island, mainly in Hvar, Stari Grad and around present-day Jelsa. Some historians assume that, at that time, the Greek polis Heraclea was located on the spot of today’s town of Hvar.

In the early Middle Ages, Croats came to the island of Hvar, adding to the culture of the island. The Venetians conquered Hvar in 1420 and remained there until the fall of the Venetian Republic in 1797. At that time, Hvar became the main Venetian port on the eastern coast of the Adriatic.

The Austrians came in 1797 and the French in 1806. In the second half of the 19th and beginning of the 20th centuries, Hvar underwent a new revival, after being re-conquered by the Austrians. At that time, all of the ports on the island were renovated. Hvar became very important in nautical and tourism terms, thus already at that time there were four consulates in the town of Hvar: Greek, Parmesan, Papal, and Napolitan.

In 1858, the first meteorological station in Croatia was opened in Sv. Veneranda Monastery in Hvar. Getting to know the climate conditions facilitated the promotion of Hvar’s tourism. As a result, the first tourism association in Europe was founded in 1868.

In 1918, the island once again fell under the control of the Italians, all the way till 1921 when Hvar, along with the rest of Croatia became a part of the Kingdom of Yugoslavia, and after World War II, the Republic of Yugoslavia.

With the recognition of the independent Republic of Croatia (1992), Hvar acquired its new role in independent Croatia.

Outstanding palaces and churches, valuable paintings and sculptures, important literary and musical works that have been created since prehistoric time to the present are the result of the inexhaustible inspiration of the island of Hvar. Hvar is one of the cultural centers of Croatian Renaissance literature and belongs to one of four literature circles. Hanibal Lucić, Petar Hektorović, Vinko Pribojević, Mikša Pelegrinović… are only some of the protagonists of Croatian culture who lived and worked on the island

 The villa rental price includes a man who is at the service of the guests and takes care of daily hygiene, umbrellas, bringing drinks etc. If necessary, it can be procured also a permanent cook or catering service from different town restaurants.

If guests do not have their own car there is the possibility of rent a car or using owners Jeep Grand Cherokee (not included in rent price) for the transport at any time in the city, restaurants and sightseeing.

For transportation at sea in Hvar there are on tel. call 8 taxi boats that come in the short term to the Hvar villa dock for transportation to any restaurant on the island or further to the other islands, airport etc.

In front the Luxury Villa Hvar is the island Stipanska where is a famous beach club Carpe Diem (working during the day and night) and the famous restaurant Antonio (Patak).
